Hi , welcome to this weeks Come Clean newsletter

Don't like milk?...............There are now an array of fantastic alternatives and of course, you can make you own!

THE DIRT
Whether you are lactose intolerant, are vegan, don't like milk or just want to add some extra variety and nourishment to your diet - there is now a plethora of milk alternatives and you can even make your own!

Milk alternatives can be used for everything from baking and cooking, to hot drinks and breakfast cereals. Some alternatives are better than others depending on what you plan to eat, so here is a basic guide;

Goat's Milk

* Is one of the best sources of dietary fluorine (only in unprocessed goat's milk)

* Is best raw, as it is easier to digest and less likely to cause an allergic reaction in those who are sensitive to milk

* Available from Loose Produce

Almond Milk / Hazelnut Milk
* Good on cereal and for smoothies, hot drinks and baking.
* Delicious creamy taste and full of essential fatty acids, protein and more!
* This can be made as a raw milk (without heating) to preserve all the natural goodness.

Coconut Milk
* Great as an addition to smoothies (for that tropical feel!) and for cooking curries.
* Dilute with water if you would like to decrease the fat content.

Oat Milk
* Use it exactly like milk, and if you are super clever, it makes great icecream!

Banana Milk
* Combine one ripe organic banana with one cup very cold water and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Process until smooth and use immediately!

Rice Milk

* Use on cereal. for drinking or for smoothies and baking.

Quinoa Milk
* This ancient grain's protein is of an unusually high quality. It is a complete protein, with an essential amino acid balance close to the ideal.

Varitey is the spice of life - so make sure you alternate between the various forms of milk to ensure a balanced nutritional intake and if in doubt consult your health professional.

Eco-Impact
While most of these milks are now readily available at your Organic and Health food stores,  in terms of  the environment and your health, making your own milk alternative can be a great choice.  Not only do you get the freshest end product, with no preservatives or additives, but you also reduce waste and potentially harmful contamination by not purchasing a packaged product.

G SPOT
