David Suzuki My Hero!
Meeting David Suzuki was for me, like meeting Brad Pitt may be for some women. This incredible man has given so much to our world, yet remains humble and grateful in everyway. Last night I was fortunate enough to listen to him tell the story of his life (along with several hundred other people!)and it was nothing short of inspirational.
The take home message was simple......'It's not all doom and gloom' and that 'everyday people can and do make a difference'. His book 'Good News for a Change..How Everyday people are helping the planet' was a fitting purchase. I am still finishing the first chapter...so more details soon.
In my brief encounter with David, he asked just two things of me (while signing my book);
1.That I continue to 'spread the news'
2.That I continue to get young people 'like you (me)' involved
So thank you my wondeful CleanLife readers and subscribers for allowing me to do this good work through you and for helping me to spread the news.
Please do continue to direct anyone and everyone to CleanLife, the more people we have making small changes every week the greater ability we have to reduce our environmental impact and our synthetic chemical exposure. It's like insurance for our health and that of our planet!

Hi Gina,
I too was blessed to hear David Suzuki's life story last night. What an incredibly humble soul he is. His work has inspired me for many years and I have used his activity books when teaching enviro education to kids. I was really glad to have had the opportuity to personally thank him for that as he signed my book. What struck me most about his talk last night was the 'children' and their power to touch people's hearts and minds and have the power to influence the attitudes and behaviours of others (particularly adults).
Though I hesitate in making the choice to bring children into this world as we know it myself, it is inspiring to hear his stories of the power of his own kids and others on the planet - a refreshing reminder that that is where change for the better can really begin!

Thanks Fiona
It was so wonderful to hear that you are teaching kids about environmental issues. The children definitely hold the future in their tiny hands and the more aware and capable be can help them to become as individuals and as a collective group, the greater chance we have of preserving this beautiful earth of ours. It was incredibly inspiring to hear of the work of David Suzuki's daughter and I have no doubt that some of the children you inspire with your environmental education, will go on to make positive environmental change.
Thank you for your wonderful contribution Fiona.
Warm Regards
Gina
I envy you. Meeting David Suzuki would be better than meeting Pitt. In Suzuki we have a man who realised many years ago that the land is fragile, the planet is a gift not to be abused and the wildlife a part of our wonderful system of nature. There are many like him in this world and they need the support of all of us.
